Protestant church at Szilágyi Dezső square

The first protestant church of Buda was built according to the plans of Samu Pecz between 1892 and 1896 in neogothic style. The layout of the church is pentagonal having the altar in its center. The interior walls are decorated with writings of evangelists and Paul. Furniture as also designed by Samu Pecz. The roof is covered with Zsolnay tiles, the tower is 62 metres high. The church was destroyed in WWII but it has mostly been restored since that time.
