Incline railway (Sikló) The incline railway is a special railway which allows us to get from the bank of Dunaube directly to the castle in just minutes. As a part of Dunaube panorama, it is under Unesco protection since 1987. Son of István Széchenyi, Ödön initiated the building of it in 1868 according to the plans of Henrik Wohlfahrt. This was the second such device in whole Europe at that time. The upper station was entirely destroyed in World War II and the whole railway was devastated because government wanted to use buses for transfer to the castle. It was rebuilt in 1986, since that time fast 1 million passangers travel with it yearly.
